This year’s proceeds will go toward completion of the Pleasant Valley Project. This project will improve a one-half mile public section of the Yampa River owned by the BLM just below Sarvice Creek. We are excited as the final design will incorporate 10 significant river features and several designated parking areas. Combined with the BLM’s newly refurbished handicapped accessible Hubbard Cabin, this will be a truly spectacular reach of water for the public.
Our Next Project
We are currently on track to complete our Pleasant Valley Project this fall. We anticipate that our next project will be the Butcherknife Creek Project. We have already begun preliminary discussion with the Steamboat Springs School District to improve the reach of water that flows through their Strawberry Park campus. Our primary objective is to enhance the riparian ecosystem in order to facilitate a rich learning environment for students in both the elementary and middle school.
Thanks to all who participated in the 2018 Tournament! We raised approximately $28,000, which will go towards the Pleasant Valley Project. Congratulations to Josh Rudolph, Scott O’Sullivan, Patrick Dean, Andrew Bradley, and Guide Charlie Smith of Team Chuck’s Purple Worm for taking First Place in the 2018 Golf Trout Tournament.
